Role Summary

As Global Process Manager for Sales & Distribution (SD) with a focus on Dispatch, you design and optimize global end-to-end processes across shipping, transportation execution, and order management (Order-to-Cash). You are responsible for defining, harmonizing, and implementing forward-looking standard processes within a modern S/4HANA system landscape—well beyond the traditional SD module perspective. In this role, you play a key part in advancing our global process and system landscape, laying the foundation for efficient, digital, and scalable logistics.

Your Challenge:

  • Design and implementation of global processes by shaping, harmonizing, and deploying standardized processes based on SAP S/4HANA (including customer order fulfillment / Order-to-Dispatch, shipping, transportation execution, delivery processing, and EDI with customers)
  • End-to-end optimization of shipping and logistics processes through continuous improvement of operations in production plants and distribution centers, with a focus on material and information flow, automation, and standardization, as well as conducting process assessments and deriving sustainable improvement measures
  • Responsible for international transformation and digitalization initiatives, with accountability for global projects in cross-functional teams and close collaboration with sites, regions, and corporate functions
  • Governance of global change management by evaluating, prioritizing, and coordinating change requests in collaboration with internal and external process and technology experts
  • Data and process analysis through the development and application of relevant KPIs, as well as the use of modern analytics tools (e.g., process mining) to ensure process quality and performance
  • Documentation and standardization by creating and maintaining global standards, policies, training materials, and process documentation
  • Establishment and support of a global key user network, providing first-level support to regional process experts and fostering a global community for knowledge sharing and best practices
  • Interface management through close collaboration with adjacent functions (e.g., Sales, Lean, Production, IT, Supply Chain) to ensure a consistent end-to-end process understanding

Your Profil:

  • Education: Successfully completed degree with a focus on Logistics and/or Production Management
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in a comparable role
  • Expertise:  
    • Strong expertise in shipping planning and execution, as well as material flow processes
    • In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA modules SD and EWM, including a solid understanding of customizing
    • Knowledge of additional logistics modules (WM, MM, TM) is an advantage
    • Experience in international project management environments and change management processes
    • LEAN knowledge is a plus
  • Language Skills: Business fluent in English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage
  • Personality:
    • Responsible, motivated, and self-driven working style
    • Structured approach combined with strong analytical skills
    • Team player with enthusiasm for working in international environments and on global projects
    • Willingness to travel up to 40 % internationally is required
