Director Filtration Materials Operations Europe (m/f/d)

Role Summary

In the position of Director Operations Filtration Materials Europe, you hold a key operational leadership role within the European Filtration Materials organisation of MANN+HUMMEL.

You are responsible for the operational performance, stability and continuous development of the European manufacturing network producing nonwoven based filtration materials. The role focuses on reliable execution, strong operational results and the systematic improvement of production performance across multiple sites.

Your Challenge

• Lead and further develop the European Operations organisation within Filtration Materials
• Ensure sustainable manufacturing performance across all sites, including: 
  • OEE, quality, cost efficiency, delivery performance and EHS
• Cooperate closely with local plant management to: 
  • Stabilise and improve operational performance
  • Harmonise processes, standards and KPI systems
  • Enable structured best practice transfer across the production network
• Support investment, capacity and footprint related decisions within Europe
• Drive continuous improvement of production structures, processes and organisational set ups
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and other central functions

Your Profile

• Education: University degree in engineering (e.g. mechanical, process, industrial engineering) or a comparable technical qualification
• Professional Experience: 
  • Several years of experience in an operational manufacturing leadership role, such as Plant Manager, Senior Production Manager or Head of Operations
  • Professional background in filtration materials, filter media or technically comparable nonwoven manufacturing environments
  • Experience working within industrial production organisations, preferably with exposure to multi site structures
  • Solid understanding of production environments with high requirements regarding quality, delivery reliability, cost efficiency and operational stability
• Expertise: 
  • Strong command of modern production methodologies, Lean principles and value stream optimization
  • Experience with SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Ability to work with operational KPIs, data analytics and digital production tools
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
  • High level of ownership, structured thinking and results driven mindset
  • Proven ability to motivate, develop and lead operational teams across multiple locations
• Language Skills: Fluent German and English (C1 level), both written and spoken, are mandatory for this role.
