Main Tasks

  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow
  • Interviews, hires, trains, develops, coaches and manages performance for team members, maintain harmony among workers
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of workers
  • Confers with Shipping Department leaders to ensure coordination of warehouse activities
  • Confers with managers in Manufacturing to ensure coordination of functions such as production, inventory management and quality assurance
  • Ensures correct shipment of all material orders
  • Identifies employees’ skills and develops them by coaching and counseling employees on a regular basis
  • Conducts annual performance reviews and provides continual feedback on both positive and negative performance
  • Ensure a safe work environment with a focus on “Safety First” with no lost-time worker’s comp incidents
  • Additional duties as assigned

 

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/ GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years experience supervising staff, including responsibility for hiring, terminating and performance appraisals
  • Manufacturing/industry shipping experience required
  • Good computer sklills; MS Office experience required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in independently or in a team setting
  • Strong attention to detail; accurate data entry skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to read, understand and comply company standards
  • Forklift experience or certification preferred
  • Must be able to read, understand and comply with written and verbal instructions, company processes and procedures and safety policies
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical equipment such as forklifts and other machinery.
