We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on R&D Lab Technician to support our Research & Development team. This role is responsible for receiving and managing incoming test samples, conducting performance testing of air filtration products to industry standards, accurately recording and reporting test data, and assisting with prototype fabrication and evaluation.
This position works closely with engineers and product development teams to support laboratory testing activities and help bring new filtration products to market. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on technical work, laboratory testing, and maintaining organized documentation in a fast-paced R&D environment.
Main Tasks
• Receive, log, and track incoming air filter samples for testing
• Conduct performance testing on air filtration products in accordance with industry standards such as ASHRAE, ISO, EN, and internal test protocols
• Operate and maintain laboratory test equipment including airflow, dust loading, and filtration efficiency testing systems
• Ensure testing is performed safely, accurately, and consistently according to established procedures
• Maintain calibration records and assist with routine equipment maintenance
• Accurately record test data in laboratory databases and documentation systems
• Compile and organize test results into clear reports for engineering and product development teams
• Communicate testing results and observations to engineers and other stakeholders
• Maintain organized lab documentation, test records, and historical data files
• Assist with fabrication and assembly of prototype air filtration products
• Support prototype evaluation and performance testing in the R&D laboratory
• Provide feedback to engineering teams regarding prototype performance and testing observations
• Assist engineers with updates and revisions to R&D drawings and documentation
• Modify CAD drawings under the direction of an engineer
• Maintain drawing revisions and documentation control according to company procedures
Education & Experience
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical field preferred
• Experience working in a laboratory, testing environment, or technical manufacturing environment preferred
• Familiarity with product testing, quality testing, or R&D environments is a plus
• Spanish/English bilingual communication skills are a plus

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and move materials and equipment up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods while conducting laboratory testing
• Comfortable working around laboratory airflow and testing equipment
