Role Summary

Responsible for determining the means of manufacturing for air intake system, Air Cleaner, Cylinder head covers and Oil modules to the required level, by ensuring that within a designated area the necessary engineering solutions are developed relating to layout, material handling, tooling, equipment / facilities, process, and quality.

Main Tasks

1.    Preparing Manufacturing concept, Packaging concepts, Process Layout based on Product Design.
2.    Design review of products for manufacturing and testing feasibility.
3.    Prepare Machine / SPM/fixture specifications for assembly and testing of products, 
4.    Experience in selection of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Sensors, Circuits, Camera etc. for Machine / SPM Building.
5.    Hands on experience in Assembly process (Torquing & Pressing) Joining Process (Vibration welding, Ultrasonic welding, Spin welding, Infrared welding, and Hot plate welding) Testing process (Functional, Leak, and Completeness)
6.    Hands on Experience in Handling PLC, for program changes and troubleshooting. 
7.    Design Review, Approval and development of Equipment’s, SPM and Fixtures.
8.    Responsible for Maintaining Cycle time, schedule and quality throughout the developments as planned in initial stage
9.    Establishment of Manufacturing process, Qualification, and commission of Machines and SPMS through DOE, Process capability studies and GRR 
10.    Responsible for Pre series production and Production with Run @ Rate.
11.    Improvements in Existing projects Cycle time, Productivity, Material flow and Layouts.
12.    Preparing of PFMEA, Process Flow, Control plan, and Work instruction and PPAP Documents for assembly process.
13.    Working experience in SAP, AutoCAD, MS project is an advantage.
14.    IATF16949, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 awareness.
15.    Conducting on-job training for production associates while handing over of projects
16.    Process knowledge in plastic Injection Moulding, Machining, Blow and rubber Moulding will be added advantage.

Minimum Educational Requirement

Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Related fields

Experience

  • Diploma / BE in Mechanical / Mechatronics with Min 3 to 8 years' Experience
  • Hands on experience in Manufacturing Process Planning, Assembly line establishment, SPM / Equipment development.
  • Knowledge in Plastic Joining process, component manufacturing, assembly process and Machining.
  • IATF16949, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 requirements
  • Language criteria: English, Hindi, and Kannada.
