Role Summary
The Lead Product Engineer Air Filter Systems (m/f/d) is at the forefront of developing advanced air filtration solutions for our customers. As the central technical interface within development projects, this role combines engineering know-how, customer focus, and close collaboration across functions to turn requirements into successful products and long-term project success.
Your Requirements
- Coordination and management of all technical activities within a project, including concept development, simulation, CAD design, and validation.
- Responsibility for one or more technical projects within a defined product group in close cooperation with the Project Manager.
- Development and implementation of a project plan covering all technical activities, including resource planning.
- Definition of functional specifications based on customer requirements and ensuring compliance with MANN+HUMMEL Group technical standards in collaboration with the supervisor.
- Close coordination with production to ensure the manufacturability of developed products.
- Provision of all technical project documentation, e.g., CAD data, drawings, technical descriptions, specifications, FMEAs, control plans, and validation plans.
- Participation in quotation and tendering processes and support in acquiring new projects in the field of air filtration.
- Establishment and maintenance of close customer relationships to ensure successful project execution.
Your Profil
- Education: Successfully completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a comparable field of study
- Professional Experience: Several years of experience in a relevant position
- Technical Competencies:
- Solid knowledge of plastic component design
- Good knowledge of filter element design
- Experience in leading technical projects and strong technical expertise
- Proficient in CATIA V5
- Confident user of MS Office applications
- Languages: Fluent German and English, both written and spoken
- Personality:
- Strong innovative mindset and a high degree of initiative
- Independent, structured, and results-oriented way of working
- Enjoyment of collaborating with internal and external customers
