Main Tasks

  • Responsible for all Finance and Controlling within the Asia Pacific Region, including the linkage to the outsourced activities to the Shared Service Centers. Lead and mentor diverse teams by providing guidance, coaching, and support to enhance employee engagement and promote professional growth. This includes having disciplinary responsibility for the finance and controlling teams within the region
  • Strategic Development: Formulate and execute regional finance strategies for the APAC region, ensuring alignment with the Chief Financial Officer of Transportation and overall objectives.
  • Financial Management: Oversee the regional capital structure and financial resources, including cash flow management, budgeting, strategic investments, cost optimization initiatives, and accurate forecasting. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes while identifying areas for enhancement.
  • Business Partnership: Act as a business partner to the regional leadership team by actively participating in discussions, challenging existing plans, and providing insightful analysis to facilitate informed decision-making. This role requires both strategic thinking as well as tactical and operational execution to ensure successful implementation of initiatives.
  • Operational Alignment: Ensure that regional operations are in sync with divisional strategies while identifying opportunities for process improvements and innovative solutions. Additionally, take joint responsibility for developing and implementing measures in collaboration with the regional leadership team.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies to mitigate both financial and operational risks effectively.

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; an MBA is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) are advantageous.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles or related fields with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Strong business acumen with a proven track record of driving financial performance in a complex organizational environment.
