Role Summary

MANN+HUMMEL is a leading provider of filtration solutions for automotive, industrial, commercial and consumer segments. An exciting opportunity based in Singapore focusing on the fast growing trend of Internet-of-Things solutions, with potential applications across many different business segments. 

In the last years, MANN+HUMMEL initiated IoT solutions based on new type of products and services (device, smart devices, software products, digital services) that require special attention and care. These products and services are for example:

  • Air/Water Monitoring and Control Solutions
  • Filter lifetime monitoring devices
  • Smart filters
  • Telemetry solution for large industrial filtration system

Main Tasks

  • Overall responsibilities

    • Define Project Goals and Roles
      • Define and implement Project Management process such as initiation, planning, defining scope, risk management, change request and closure of projects
      • Defining scope, goals, developing schedules. Identifying and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project

     

    • Control and Management
      • Preparing project controls, production, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc.
      • Lead a cross-functional team from product marketing, engineering, QA and operations, to oversee design, development, testing, manufacturing to productions throughout the product development life cycle to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met
      • Involve in vendor management, contract management to ensure timely delivery according to commitment.
      • Identify issues/conflicts/bottlenecks, provide management escalation, project prioritization, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and drive the projects to final milestone, with focusing on delivery of quality products on time within budget.

     

    • Delivery
      • Controlling target achievement of the development-related maturity level metrics while monitoring performance against the project plan and taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
      • Ensuring the technical conception, evaluation, decision-making and implementation of changes in coordination with topic experts
      • Manage overall development process from requirement gathering to implementation and delivery

     

    • Communication
      • Communicating with stakeholders, including clients, team members and senior management, to provide project updates and address any concerns or issues
      • Communicate issues/conflicts/bottlenecks, provide management escalation, project prioritization, balance the business needs versus technical constraints, and drive the projects to final milestone, with focusing on delivery of quality products on time within budget.

     

    • Budgeting and Costing
      • Define project target budgets and forecasts.
      • Manage project expenses and product cost as well as materials selection, equipment, project staff and external contractors.

Your Profile

  • At least 10 years of experience in leading the project management for a business producing industrial products based on electronics and software.
  • Solid experience in handling project delivery, planning & scheduling
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment
  • Track record of managing projects
  • Experience in dealing with an international base of suppliers (China, Taiwan, India)
  • Able to deal with ambiguity.
  • Ability to establish processes to manage new ways of work
  • Able to deal with complex issues in effective ways
  • Willingness to be hands-on when required.
