Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented intern to support the execution of our open innovation program - MHInnovates. This role will focus on coordinating activities between internal Business Units, participants, and external stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of Demo Day and follow-through on post-Demo Day activities. In addition, the intern will gain exposure to broader innovation, corporate strategy, partnership, and M&A activities by supporting research, strategic analyses, and opportunity evaluation initiatives.
The ideal candidate enjoys project coordination, stakeholder engagement, event management, and working in a fast-paced innovation environment. This position offers hands-on exposure to corporate innovation, startup collaboration, and strategic program execution within a global organization.
Main Tasks
MHInnovates Program Coordination
- Support the planning and execution of MHInnovates activities.
- Track program timelines, milestones, deliverables, and participant progress.
- Coordinate meetings, workshops, and review sessions with companies, startups, internal teams, and leadership stakeholders.
- Maintain project documentation, action trackers, and program reports.
Business Unit Engagement
- Act as a coordination point between participating Business Units and applicants.
- Schedule and facilitate discussions, update meetings, and milestone reviews.
- Ensure timely collection of feedback, requirements, and evaluation inputs from BU stakeholders.
- Follow up on action items and drive closure of pending tasks.
Demo Day Planning & Execution
- Support end-to-end planning and organization of Demo Day.
- Coordinate participant logistics, agenda management, presentations, judges, speakers, and event communications.
- Prepare briefing materials, program updates, presentation decks, and evaluation forms.
- Ensure smooth execution of Demo Day activities and stakeholder engagement.
Post Demo Day Follow-Up
- Track outcomes and action items arising from Demo Day.
- Coordinate follow-up meetings between Business Units and problem solvers.
- Monitor pilot opportunities, partnership discussions, and next-step decisions.
- Prepare summary reports, program impact metrics, and management updates.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Support communication across global stakeholders involved in MHInnovates.
- Draft emails, newsletters, announcements, and program updates.
- Assist in preparing management presentations and executive summaries.
- Maintain stakeholder databases and communication records.
Research & Benchmarking
- Conduct research on innovation programs, startup ecosystems, and industry best practices.
- Analyze trends and identify opportunities to improve future MHInnovates programs.
- Support ad-hoc innovation management projects as required.
Job Requirements (Qualifications, Skills, Experience, Competencies)
Education
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
- Business Management
- Innovation Management
- Engineering
- Marketing
- Communications
- Project Management
- Or a related field
Skills & Competencies
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
- Ability to prepare professional presentations and reports.
- Comfortable engaging with diverse global stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Technology and/or programming knowledge preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in event management, project coordination, program management, or startup ecosystems.
- Exposure to innovation, corporate venture, or accelerator programs.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with creative tool set, project management tools is an advantage.
- Financial tools preferred and not mandatory
