Main Tasks

  • Initiating product developments to meet customer needs and market demand
  • Prototyping of new products and conducting feasibility studies as well as risk assessments to assess performance, functionality, user experience and to evaluate commercial viability and compliance with regulations and standards if the focus is on product development
  • Identifying areas for improvement, expansion or discontinuation for each product in comparison with industry developments and emerging technologies
  • Creating business plans and budgets for product development
  • Ensuring that patent rights for new products are protected in cooperation with the legal department
