Role Summary
- Manages legal entities in APAC regarding Compliance topics
- Developing, implementing and enforcing an effective compliance program, compliance procedures and compliance policies.
- Performs consistent risk assessments to recognise areas where the company might be vulnerable to non-compliance and perform adequate training/ awareness campaigns.
- Collaboration with Senior Management and other departments, such as the legal, human resources and finance departments, to ensure compliance of the entities
- Coordination of internal investigations in case of grave violations of laws, policies or Code of Conduct
Main Tasks
- Legal (Including Legal Counsel, Patent/intellectual Property Law, Legal Research & Document Drafting, Contract Negotiation & Administration, Legal Records Management, etc.)
- Compliance (Ensuring business operations/processes are in compliance with external regulations and internal standards)
- Ethics Compliance (Ensuring compliance with ethical standards such as policies & procedures related to conflicts-of-interest, confidentiality/privacy, fraud, appropriate use of company assets, interpersonal conduct in the workplace, etc.)
- Internal Audit (Auditing Business Operations/Processes, Financial, IT Systems, etc.)
Your Profile
- Professional lawyer/ legal background preferred. Alternatively Bachelor’s degree in business, law, finance, accounting, related field or equivalent experience.
- Masters degree desirable but not mandatory
- 7+ years experience advising on compliance or legal matters, including trainings and internal investigations.
- Knowledge and understanding of anticorruption legislations.
