Role Summary

Ensure stable, secure, and high-performing IT infrastructure across MANN+HUMMEL sites in the Americas region. This role covers the design, implementation, monitoring, and support of servers, applications, and related systems both on-site and in the cloud. It supports the global IT strategy and involves close collaboration with international teams and external partners.

Main Tasks

  • Integration into Center of Competence CoC Structure: This role is part of the global CoCs and works closely with colleagues in Europe, Asia, and North America
  • Regular alignment with the central IT architecture team and participation in global initiatives
  • Operate, maintain, and optimize physical and virtual server infrastructure (VMware vCenter/ESXi, HPE SimpliVity, Enterprise SAN)
  • Manage Windows Server environments (2012 and newer), Office 365, and Active Directory operations for 2,000+ users
  • Automate and streamline manual processes using PowerShell scripting
  • Provide 2nd/3rd level support for system and application-related issues
  • Act as an escalation point for Level 1 and 2 support technicians
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing
  • Participate in upgrades, troubleshooting, and on-call duties outside business hours
  • Document systems, configurations, and support procedures thoroughly
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and implement proactive maintenance processes
  • Collaborate with external vendors and manage service relationships and SLAs
  • Deliver reports and presentations on system status and performance
  • Support cross-departmental IT needs and contribute to regional business operations

Your Profile

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in a related technical field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (Level 3+) in the IT industry
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, VMware/vCenter, Office 365
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, Active Directory tools and utilities
  • Familiarity with firewall rule implementation in Windows environments
  • Preferred experience with SimpliVity and/or vSAN servers 
  • Experience with MS SQL, antivirus/malware solutions, and hyperconverged architectures

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills in English; ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams
  • Understanding of network, internet, cloud, endpoint, and application security
  • Certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft. CCNA/CCNE or InfoSec/Cyber Security are a plus
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team environment
