Global Distribution DC Network Planner

Role Summary
This role is responsible for measuring the performance and driving the optimization of our global distribution footprint, directly contributing to improved efficiency, cost savings, and strategic growth across international markets.
This role interacts on a regular base with 3PL and 4PL partners.
Main Tasks
• Drive operational excellence in the distribution centers incl. KPI management & SQDC implementation.
• Support regional teams with preparation of 3PL business review & management.
• Identify optimization opportunities of outbound logistics costs.
• Continual review and optimization of the global distribution network.
• Expert leadership & project management for key distribution footprint projects
• Develop business case and impact calculation of distribution network changes
• Support in selecting best-in-class warehousing technology; calculating business cases and supporting implementation
• Work hand-in-hand with transportation & distribution process managers to achive best-in-class end-to-end distribution processes
• Responsible as a sub project team leader
• Develop and maintain direct collaboration with regional distribution teams
• Play vital role in the changes and development of global distribution & warehouse footprint
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable qualification or experience in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering, Logistics or a related field
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of experience specifically in distribution center network design, including modeling, optimization, and cost-to-serve analysis across multi-regional or global footprints
- Experience with supply chain design tools (e.g., Coupa, Supply Chain Guru, Vista or similar)
- Proven experience evaluating and modeling DC location strategies, warehouse sizing, and product flow optimization
- Ability to build business cases using detailed cost modeling for network redesign or consolidation projects

Preferred Experience
- Preferably 5 years of experience in International Trade, preferencial agreements and customs regulations
- At least 5-10 years’ experience in the field of distribution logistics
- Profound knowledge and experience in transportation modes and transportation flows
- Deep understanding of end-to-end fullfilment processes in modern distribution, including warehouse equipment and software
- Experience of warehouse operations or experience in operations would be advantageous
