Role Summary
Ensure compliance with current regulations and the implementation of required standards for the prevention of accidents and environmental incidents.
Main Responsibilities

Provide detailed information on the results of inspections, audits, and extraordinary verifications.

Keep the matrix of applicable legal requirements and the corresponding compliance evaluation up to date.

Ensure the acquisition and renewal of procedures, permits, and licenses in accordance with current regulations.

Ensure the availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and required uniforms for personnel.
-
Monitor the corrective actions imposed by stakeholders (inspections, audits, visits, etc.).

Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify and correct unsafe conditions within the facilities.
-
Facilitate employee training according to the established program to ensure regulatory and safety compliance.

Supervise the proper handling of non-hazardous waste generated by suppliers.

Coordinate investigations of workplace accidents and follow up on the resulting action plans.

Ensure the implementation of operational controls derived from incidents and extend them to critical areas or processes when necessary.

Understand and comply with the requirements of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and C-TPAT standards, ensuring their integration into daily operations.

Validate the safe implementation of new projects or process changes in the plant, ensuring their proper execution in accordance with regulations.

Ensure legal compliance and supervise contractor activities within the plant premises.

Ensure that all visitors to the facilities are aware of and comply with basic safety guidelines.

Promote and foster safety awareness through continuous awareness programs and training.

Ensure compliance with the internal workplace regulations in all matters related to occupational safety.

Manage and follow up on findings from the Safety Observation System, implementing necessary improvements.
-
Carry out any other safety- and compliance-related activities not specified above but inherent to the role.

Requirements
-
Academic Background:
-
Degree in Industrial or Environmental Engineering.
Experience:
-
4-5 years of experience in a similar position.
-
2-3 years of experience managing applicable legal requirements.
-
2-3 years of experience developing risk prevention plans and programs.
Competencies:
Technical:
-
Minimum B2-C1 conversational English.
-
Knowledge of first aid and fire response.
-
Risk analysis techniques.
- SAP knowledge
- Experience leading committees, emergency brigades, and operational teams.
-
Understanding of requirements from IMSS, Federal Labor Law (LFT), Ministry of Health (SS), PROFEPA, Civil Protection, and basic NFPA standards.
- Experience with CTPAT Certification

Experience with ISO 14001.
