Main Tasks
- Emergency Plastic Injection Tool & Die Repair
- Modify and/or fabricate blueprint tooling equipment from engineering direction
- Component part fabrication from sample and/or prints
- Coordinate and perform Preventative Maintenance of plastic injection tools
- Work within the Centralized Maintenance management system to record personal daily activities
- Organize and complete scheduled PM's, manufacturing continuous events/projects that are assigned
- Utilize trouble shooting techniques/root cause analysis to determine the corrective action on problem/issues with plastic injection molds
Your Profile
- High School graduate or G.E.D.
- Successful completion of an apprenticeship where you earned a journeyman's card or 8 years of proven experience where you were dedicated to tool & die mold repair
- Mig & Tig Welding Qualifications necessary
- Tool Room Machining Qualifications necessary
- Experience in the trade of tool and die mold repair with a strong mechanical background
- Plastic Injection Molding Equipment experience is a must
- Familiar with hot runner and valve gate systems
- Works independently in day-to-day activities, responsible for planning/requisitioning parts and materials, arranging own work, responsible for outcome and closure
- Demonstrates knowledge/experience with all level shop tools and automated equipment
