Supplier Quality Team Lead

Main Tasks
**This position will be located onsite in Atlanta, GA**
- Assures the flow of technical and quality related information between MANN+HUMMEL and suppliers for project related part specific requirements, measuring methods, etc.
- Communicates Lessons Learned and provides support within the SQA and SQD (Supplier Quality Development) network and supports in standardization and continuous improvement of the APQP process for purchased parts
- Responsible for planning and organization of Incoming Goods Inspection (IGI) according to Control and Inspection Plans; incl. management of purchased parts quarantining, sorting and rework related activities
- Manages supplier quality complaints (8D/RPS)
- Ensures the robustness of the corrective actions of suppliers; if necessary, by follow up and validation of actions on site at the suppliers
- In case of low performing suppliers escalates to Purchasing and SQD
- Applies the MANN+HUMMEL rules for CSL1/ CSL2 (Controlled Shipping Level)
- Manages regular requalification of purchased components
- Coordinates supplier related deviations, concessions, and changes as part of Technical Change Management (TCM)
- Has the authority and the responsibility to stop any purchased parts delivery in case of a nonconformance related to customer expectations, safety, or environmental regulations
- Gather and recoup all costs incurred due to supplier quality issues
Your Profile
Education
- High School Diploma and at least 4 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing or Production functions in the relevant industry OR University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Mechanical, Engineering degree or equivalent education at least 2 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing or Production functions in the relevant industry Experience of product and process audit
Experience
- Knowledge in and understanding of application of IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 requirements
- Expertise in Advanced Quality Planning (APQP) and knowledge of standard quality tools (e.g. FMEA, Control Plan, SPC, Initial Sampling Process, Run@Rate, inspection methods)
- Ability to interpret drawings and requirements for ensuring the adherence to agreed quality parameters
- Ability to apply and train suppliers in problem solving and process capability tools
- Fluent in both written and oral English
- Able to use Microsoft Office tools and SAP-QM
Preferred Skills
- Experience in relevant production processes and technologies
- Able to train suppliers on additional quality and lean techniques – such as design of experiments, continuous improvement programs and lean manufacturing tools
- Good knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
- Skills required in component cleanliness management
