Prototype Technician

Role Summary
-
Assemble product and using hand tools and Machines as needed.

Comply with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) rules and regulations and promote HSE awareness.

Participate in the facilitation of prototype requirements, including job assignments, conflict resolution, team building, training, health, safety, environmental, and quality,
-
Provide SPC information documentation when required.
-
Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
-
Assemble product to meet all expectations of the customer or alert quality team as needed for quality issues.

Inspect product to ensure it meets all quality standards alert quality team as needed.
-
Accurately count and package product into containers or boxes.
Long Description
- Label container or boxes per each Customer requirements.
-
Read and follow Visual Work Instruction (VWI) and/or Work Instructions (WI’s).

Verifies proper set up for each product by:
-
Check VWI is correct to pull components from inventory to run product.
-
Operate Forklift Truck as needed to pull components from WIP.
-
Set up Machines to build products as needed per each VWI.
-
Preparing parts needed for quality testing when required.
-
Perform some testing as needed to verify welding process before assembling product.
-
Pull order and VWI from H: Drive to build per our customer request and requirements.
-
Communicate problems and issues during each build.
-
Perform and document quality checks according to the Quality Assurance Control Plan and Inspection Instruction Sheets when available for each product.

Practice good 5S housekeeping techniques and actively participate in 5S activities.

Keep the Prototype Supervisor advised of any production, downtime, & Quality problems.

Perform activities in a positive and professional manner.

Maintain an acceptable attendance record to ensure timely work completion.
-
Must have knowledge of and adhere to the current Quality and Environmental System requirements that relate to this job and products.

Use FedEx system to ship products out to each Customer location per each WO’s/PO’s.

Turn in shipping document to Customer Service for billing and remove components from our Inventory.
-
Help verify and keep track of inventory daily.

Perform other job duties as assigned.
