Role Summary
Injection Molding Technician – 2nd or 3rd Shift
Location: Portage, Michigan – North Campus #LI-Onsite
As an Injection Molding Technician, you will ensure efficient operations of molding and assembly equipment. Using strong mechanical skills, problem-solving ability, and effective communication, you will support production through mold changes, process adjustments, and troubleshooting.
Main Tasks
Mold Setup & Changeovers

Change injection molds in 500–1500 Ton machines.

Ensure proper electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic hook-ups.

Install and adjust robot end-of-arm tools.

Perform machine and robot functions required for tool changeovers.

Document machine settings and process set-up parameters.
Processing & Quality

Adjust processes to address common molding defects.

Program pick-and-place robots for part removal.

Investigate and resolve equipment, robot, and product quality issues.

Verify product conformity to quality standards at start-up.
Performance & Accountability
- Complete changeovers within specified time requirements.

Maintain work area per 5S housekeeping principles.

Clean molds and perform basic tooling repairs as needed.
Your Profile
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training in skilled trades preferred).
Experience: 2–4 years in injection molding machine set-up and processing.
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Ability to complete company training (New Employee Orientation, Quality Systems Overview, and department-specific training).
