This is a Remote position to be based in Greater Toronto, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas.
The District Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales activities, assessing customer needs and conducting proactive outreach to enhance customer relationships and drive sales growth
Main Tasks
- Sales Leadership: Manage and grow sales within your district, meeting or exceeding annual sales quotas and financial objectives.
- Account Development: Identify and capitalize on new sales opportunities, building strong customer relationships.
- Customer Engagement:
- Participate in business reviews and planning sessions with customers.
- Conduct sales training, customer meetings, and fleet surveys.
- Provide prompt, professional resolution to customer issues, maintaining high customer service standards.
- Market Analysis:
- Evaluate market trends, competitive information, and industry challenges to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop insights into market and customer trends affecting sales and profitability.
- Reporting and Record Management:
- Maintain accurate records and communications, including company CRM, required business forms, reports, and email correspondence.
- Analyze and manage fleet reporting to align with company policies.
- Operational Support: Participate in customer inventories, changeovers, and inventory relocations as needed.
- Travel Requirements: Extensive daily travel within your district, with occasional overnight travel. A company car will be provided for local/regional business use.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree, business, or technical diploma
Experience:
- 5+ years of successful relevant sales experience
Required Skills:
- Must be able to achieve sales goals while using sound business management, customer management, building customer relationships, negotiation, sales planning and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel)
- Ability to conduct product training and implement new ideas
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Up to 65% travel (Domestic/Regional)
- Valid Ontario provincial driver’s license in good standing
Preferred Experience:
- Salesforce or other CRM experience
- Automotive aftermarket, heavy-duty, industrial, off-road equipment, or related industries.
