Role Summary
As the European SIOP Manager, you are responsible for executing and continuously optimizing the regional SIOP process within the Transportation BU. In this role, you ensure reliable demand forecasting, efficient inventory planning, and a balanced utilization of production and supplier capacities, thereby contributing significantly to the financial and operational performance of the European sites. At the same time, you secure targeted parts availability within the distribution centers.
Your key responsibilities include preparing, conducting, and following up on SIOP meetings, driving improvement initiatives, training new process stakeholders, and coordinating planning activities across functions.
Your Challenge:
- Coordination and continuous further development of the regional SIOP process within the Transportation Europe BU
- Organization, facilitation, and preparation/follow‑up of regional SIOP meetings
- Steering of cross‑functional planning activities in close collaboration with Supply Chain, Finance, Purchasing, Operations, and Commercial
- Ensuring optimal inventory levels in line with service level requirements, working capital targets, and inventory strategies
- Monitoring and managing production load to maximize capacity utilization and prevent bottlenecks
- Tactical allocation of production volumes across sites to improve lead times, cost structures, and margins
- Leading initiatives to enhance SIOP processes, tools, and cross‑functional collaboration
- Development and delivery of regional training sessions to strengthen SIOP capabilities
- Monitoring and reporting of key KPIs such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, and capacity utilization
Your Profil:
- Education: Successfully completed university degree in Business Administration, preferably with a focus on Materials Management
- Professional Experience: Several years of experience in building, managing, and optimizing SIOP processes, ideally within the automotive industry
- Expertise:
- Comprehensive knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and SAP IBP modules, with a focus on IBP for S&OP
- Strong understanding of demand planning, forecasting, and multi‑source replenishment processes
- Very good skills in the Microsoft Office suite as well as relevant ERP systems
- Excellent process knowledge in the areas of demand planning and forecasting
- Knowledge of M+H products and manufacturing processes is an advantage
- Language Skills: Fluent in German and English
- Personality :
- High level of self‑motivation, strong analytical thinking, and excellent problem‑solving skills
- Willingness to stay continuously informed about current market trends
- Willingness to travel
