Role Summary

As Director Global Logistics Planning & Fulfillment, you are responsible for the global governance, performance, and continuous development of demand and supply planning processes across the supply chain. The objective of the role is to ensure a high-performing, standardized, and future-oriented planning organization while sustainably optimizing delivery performance, inventory levels, and inventory structures. Leveraging integrated planning systems and advanced AI-driven analytics, you drive transparency and enable data-based decision-making on a global scale. In addition, you hold global accountability for key performance indicators across distribution centers worldwide and serve as the functional authority across regions and business units.

Your Challenge:

  • Own the global definition, governance, and continuous enhancement of Logistics Planning & Fulfillment standards across all distribution centers (DCs).
  • Ensure efficient and standardized planning processes within distribution centers, covering both Demand Planning and Supply Planning activities.
  • Drive and continuously improve order fulfillment performance and delivery quality, including accountability for KPI10 and OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance.
  • Hold global responsibility for inventory performance across distribution centers (KPI49), including the development of inventory strategies, target-setting, and optimization initiatives, while proactively managing and resolving stakeholder management (e.g., with PSO owners and stakeholders).
  • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance standardized forecasting models, including advanced AI-driven forecasting solutions to improve planning accuracy and responsiveness.
  • Ensure seamless integration and alignment between forecasting, the SIOP process, and operational execution within distribution centers.
  • Define and implement global inventory management standards, including safety stock policies, lead-time management, and MOQ optimization, in close collaboration with Global OPS MP&L.
  • Lead and further develop global HD&I-related initiatives within the Logistics Planning & Fulfillment function.
  • Ensure effective functional governance, performance transparency, and escalation management across regions and distribution center operations.
  • Maintain globally consistent backorder management practices and reporting standards for both Aftermarket and HD&I businesses.

Your Profile:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: More than 10 years of professional experience in Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, or Fulfillment.
  • Expertise:
    • Strong expertise in Demand & Supply Planning, SIOP processes, and Distribution Center (DC) operations.
    • Experience with forecasting tools, SAP-based planning systems, and AI-driven analytics and planning solutions.
    • Proven experience in global inventory management and inventory optimization.
    • Experience in leading global teams of subject matter experts.
  • Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English; additional language skills are considered an advantage.
  • Personality:
    • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders, act as a trusted sparring partner, and balance diverse interests within a global business environment.
    • Excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills, combined with high resilience and a solution-oriented mindset aligned with overall business objectives.
    • Proven ability to foster cross-functional collaboration and ensure the consistent implementation of global standards, even without direct reporting authority.
    • High level of intercultural competence and willingness to travel globally up to 50%.
