Role Summary
As Head of Business Process Management & Data Governance, you will shape the next evolution of our global process and governance landscape. Rather than building BPM from scratch, you will build on an already established foundation and define the next maturity level for process excellence, data governance, and AI-enabled business transformation. Leading a global network of process and data stakeholders, you will ensure that business strategy, operational execution, and technology come together to create measurable business value.
Your Challenge
- Define and drive the next stage of our enterprise-wide Business Process Management and Data Governance journey, building on an already established and mature foundation
- Further develop the company's BPM & Data Governance operating model, governance structures, roles, and ways of working to support future business growth and transformation
- Ensure end-to-end transparency, ownership, and performance management across critical business processes and value streams
- Lead a global community of process owners and governance stakeholders, driving accountability, execution, and alignment across functions and regions
- Act as the key interface between business and IT, ensuring that process, data, and technology initiatives contribute to measurable business outcomes
- Drive Process Excellence initiatives through process optimization, standardization, automation, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Leverage Process Mining, Process Intelligence, and digital technologies to identify improvement opportunities, realize business value, and accelerate decision-making
- Shape the future BPM technology landscape, including the evaluation and implementation of next-generation process management solutions such as SAP Signavio
- Establish and mature enterprise-wide Data Governance, Data Quality, and Master Data Management practices to strengthen trust in business-critical data
- Enable AI-supported business processes and data-driven decision-making by creating scalable governance and high-quality data foundations
Your Profile
- Education: Successfully completed studies in Business Administration, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, Information Technology or similar
- Experience: Several years of leadership experience in Business Process Management, Process Excellence, Data Governance, Operational Excellence, or a comparable transformation environment
- Experience:
- Proven track record of developing Business Process Management Organizations, governance models, or enterprise-wide process management capabilities in international organizations, ideally in a matrix organization
- Strong understanding of end-to-end process management and operating model design, ideally in a manufacturing, industrial, retail, or similarly process-driven environment
- Hands-on experience with Process Mining, Process Intelligence, process automation, or related digital transformation initiatives
- Strong expertise in BPM methodologies such as BPMN (business process model & notation), Lean Management, Six Sigma, or comparable frameworks
- Sound knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality Management, and Master Data Management frameworks
- Familiarity with BPM platforms such as SAP Signavio, Celonis, ARIS, IBM Blueworks, or comparable solutions
- Language Skills: Fluent English skills, further languages are an advantage
- Personalty:
- Ability to lead cross-functional stakeholder networks and drive impact through collaboration & influence rather than direct authority
- Strategic mindset combined with the ability to translate concepts into sustainable execution and measurable business impact
- Excellent communication, change management, and stakeholder management skills
