Role Summary
As AI Data Enablement & Quality Specialist (m/f/d), you play a key role in enabling successful AI solutions across MANN+HUMMEL Transportation. Acting as the bridge between business functions and AI teams, you help translate business processes, requirements, and challenges into AI-relevant data needs while ensuring that data used for AI applications is reliable, complete, and fit for purpose.
Working closely with business experts, process owners, AI Product Owners, Data Engineers, and AI Quality Assurance specialists, you identify data-related challenges that impact AI initiatives, understand their underlying business, process, or system-related causes, and support the implementation of sustainable improvement measures. Through your work, you help create the data foundation required for scalable AI adoption and ensure that business and technical stakeholders are aligned on data quality expectations and requirements.
Your Responsibilities
- Act as the primary interface between business functions and AI teams to support the successful adoption of AI solutions
- Collaborate with business users to understand how data is created, maintained, interpreted, and used within daily operations
- Translate business processes, requirements, and challenges into clear AI-relevant data requirements
- Facilitate alignment between business stakeholders, AI Product Owners, Data Engineers, and AI Quality Assurance specialists
- Assess data quality, usability, completeness, consistency, and accuracy for AI and machine learning use cases
- Identify AI-relevant data quality gaps and analyze their business-, process-, or system-related root causes
- Drive and support improvement initiatives that increase the quality and usability of data for AI applications
- Support the preparation, validation, and continuous improvement of datasets used for AI model training, testing, and productive AI solutions
- Contribute to the definition of AI-specific data quality rules, validation criteria, and quality measures
- Document assessments, findings, improvement actions, and best practices to ensure transparency and sustainable implementation
- Conduct knowledge-sharing and enablement activities to strengthen awareness of AI-specific data quality requirements across the organization
- Promote collaboration and shared understanding between business and technical stakeholders to ensure successful AI outcomes
Your Profil
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Information Management, Computer Science, Data & Analytics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
- Experience:
- Experience working in data-, digital-, analytics-, AI-, or process-related roles within cross-functional business environments.
- Experience collaborating with both business users and technical teams and translating business needs into actionable solutions is required.
- Experience in data governance, business analytics, process management, digital transformation, or AI enablement initiatives is considered a strong advantage.
- Expertise:
- Strong understanding of how business processes generate, maintain, and consume data across different systems and functions
- Ability to translate business requirements and operational challenges into AI-relevant data needs and improvement measures
- Experience assessing and improving data quality for AI, analytics, digital, or data-driven use cases
- Understanding of how structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data can support AI and machine learning applications
- Awareness of common AI-related data quality risks such as missing information, inconsistent labeling, data drift, bias, and data leakage
- Understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle with a particular focus on data preparation, validation, and monitoring
- Ability to evaluate whether operational and training data are suitable for AI applications
- Experience collaborating across business and technical functions within matrix organizations
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills with the ability to align diverse interests and priorities
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain AI- and data-related concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Basic understanding of data analysis concepts; hands-on SQL or Python knowledge is beneficial but not required
- Experience validating AI-, ML-, or LLM-based solutions is considered a strong advantage
- Language Skills: Fluent English skills are required. German language skills are beneficial.
