Main Tasks
- Plan, schedule, assign, and expedite work to ensure efficient, timely workflow
- Provide clear written and verbal instructions; monitor work quality for accuracy, cleanliness, and compliance with company policies, procedures, and customer expectations
- Hire, train, develop, mentor, coach, discipline, and terminate employees in accordance with HR policies
- Assess employee skills and performance and provide coaching to support growth and productivity
- Control labor costs by managing staffing levels and minimizing overtime
- Enforce understanding of and compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- Evaluate current processes and standardize work procedures to improve operational efficiency
- Collaborate with other manufacturing leaders to coordinate warehouse and plant activities
- Maintain a safe work environment with a strong “Safety First” culture and a goal of zero lost‑time incidents
- Provide leadership and training to support company goals and operational objectives
- Promote shop‑floor organization, cleanliness, and 5S standards among plant personnel
- Monitor production output and prepare daily reports, including detailed documentation of issues and corrective actions
- Assess production levels and customer demand to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure performance goals are met
- Ensure employees report to workstations on time for start‑up, breaks, and lunch periods
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or material management
- Proven ability to hire, train, coach, mentor, and manage employee performance
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of production scheduling, raw materials planning, and workflow coordination
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing environments; strong understanding of 5S and safety practices (STOP, CALL, WAIT)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to write routine reports
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); ERP experience required (Sage preferred)
- Ability to work independently or in a team in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment while multitasking under pressure
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, results‑driven with a positive attitude
- Forklift experience or certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
