Role Summary

The Product Engineer will be responsible for supporting Engineering and Sales in their daily goals. This position will work cross-functionally within the organization across various our business segments including Sales, Quality, Operations, Planning, and within the Engineering and R&D group.

Main Tasks

  • Continuous development and improvement of air filtration products and filter design processes
  • Improves product performance and troubleshoots product issues
  • Primary resource for 2D and 3D CAD modeling
  • Researches industry product offerings to understand competition and develops next generation products
  • Identifies cost and risks within product components with design for manufacturing in mind
  • Assists Manufacturing Engineering in failure analysis and change implementation
  • Develops and maintains product documentation for internal and external customers
  • Understands test and inspection criteria for products and able to communicate to Operations product requirements
  • Analyzes and maintains Bills of Material for product master data within ERP system
  • Collaborates with Quality to improve product quality, inspection criteria, and to facilitate continued product improvement process
  • Additional duties as assigned 

Your Profile

Education:

  • BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Textiles, and Industrial concentrations preferred)

Experience:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • AutoCAD Experience
  • Inventor Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in Engineering role (preferred)

Skills:

  • 10-20% Travel Required
  • Possess a broad understanding of Engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
  • Possess familiarity with design of components, product assemblies, and various engineering analysis methods
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to be persuasive and make technical presentations to various audiences
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and strong follow-through skills
