Long Description

Job Summary

The maintenance mechanics are skilled mechanics who ensure equipment is maintained and properly functioning to prevent downtime.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the machinery and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities
  • Ensure that all machine guards, interlocks, and other safety devices are properly installed and maintained in good working condition
  • Strictly follows established lockout/tagout procedures when servicing or repairing equipment.
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical motors, conveyors, and gearbox failures on industrial equipment.
  • Interpret mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Document maintenance activities and used materials accurately.
  • Equipment installations and modifications.
  • Adjust sensors, valves, and control components and line set-up.
  • Perform maintenance on automation and control systems.

What you’ll need:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-4 years of experience in industrial maintenance
  • Fundamental knowledge of industrial mechanics and basic electricity.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic control systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Basic ability to interpret technical manuals
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Mechanical measuring instruments.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve automation-related issues.
  • Experience working in high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Must be capable of safely lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position
  • Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas.
  • This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond normal hours.
  • Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises, typical of a manufacturing plant.
