MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be an essential part of keeping our production and facility equipment operating safely and efficiently. You’ll handle a mix of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and improvement work to reduce downtime and keep operations running smoothly.
Main Tasks
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on key production equipment, including hydraulic presses, filtration units, chillers, and compressors.
- Inspect, service, and monitor equipment performance using vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and oil sampling to prevent unplanned downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled systems (Allen Bradley & Siemens preferred), including drives, sensors, conveyors, and tooling.
- Support equipment installations and startups — aligning motors, calibrating sensors, and working with Engineering and OEM partners during commissioning.
- Maintain and repair facility systems such as HVAC, RO/DI water, chilled water, and compressed air; perform light facility maintenance as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures (LOTO, Arc Flash, confined space), complete hazard assessments, and participate in safety audits and corrective actions.
- Record maintenance activities in CMMS (SAP, eMaint, or similar), update schematics and SOPs, and help manage spare parts and tool inventory.
- Communicate equipment issues promptly, join daily tier meetings with Production and Engineering, and help train new technicians on standard maintenance practices.
Education and Experience
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or technical certification in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in industrial maintenance with advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Certifications: PLC programming, HVAC, or electrical certifications are highly valued.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting ability with PLCs, automation, and control systems.
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient in CMMS (SAP, eMaint, or similar) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying conditions, confined spaces, and at heights with proper PPE.
