Role Summary

The job incumbent is responsible for all product and pricing management activities and supports the growth of the Automotive Aftermarket BU.

The role will be to be accountable for all the processes within the product and pricing management functions.

Main Tasks

Product Management

Range Management

  • Responsible for continuously expanding our multibrand product portfolio for all segments (passenger cars, commercial vehicles, off-highway applications) to achieve a defined market and competitive market coverage.
  • Increase range to achieve targeted market coverage, via expansion of globally available range to local range, as well as new part developments
  • Prioritization and assessment of found gaps in the product range according to relevance for the respective vehicle and sales potential
  • Responsible for Life Cycle Management in CDB.

Research

  • Maintenance of vehicle information, such as equipment information and OE references, and their technical evaluation at component level, including 1st step checking for identical product solutions available within portfolio or defining range gaps.
  • Additionally, define the technical requirements as basis for the product development, considering OE and vehicle information.
  • Creation of market requirements in internal catalogue system and specify the local requirement in terms of demand, cost and specification.
  • Gathering of market, competitor and VIO information via market research

New Product Introduction (NPI)

  • Initiation of internal process for new part development (workflows), define the requirements and resources to meet target SOP.
  • Responsible for all PM related tasks within the NPI process.
  • Lead/coordinate cross-functional product development process/teams to achieve faster Time2Market.
  • Activate K & N Type + Linkages TR on PARTS.
  • Create bulletins for all region/country related NPI’s and share via Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Sales Support

  • Support local team (sales, pricing, marketing, CS, ..) and customers in product-related queries, new product information, and catalog data requirements.
  • Support at fairs, exhibitions, and customer events

Quality Management

  • Manage quality claims via Dealer Portal.
  • Communicate respective locations and create SAP QM tickets to follow up process.

Pricing Management

  • Analyze and review current internal cost and pricing structure (intercompany price list, price waterfall, customer buying price, competitor selling price) and other marketing intelligence data to improve prices and develop a multi-branding price orientation for all responsible territories/regions.
  • Align and implement pricing strategy in responsible markets.
  • Checking what is relevant to our market, defining & extending, pricing via monthly SOP reporting.
  • Based on sales input and market data, construct Gross Price List for different segments, e.g., CV Specialist, OHI Specialist, Compressor Specialist, and Tender projects, and prepare customer price lists.
  • Monitor sales and profitability, e.g., GMS, CGMS, discount impacts on sales, lost sales due to uncompetitiveness.
  • Escalate potential cost-related requests to the Product Management Team for cost-down reviews.
  • Consolidate, analyze, and review current triple net prices in the region for price harmonization.
  • Upload price changes in the system – SAP price maintenance e.g., promotions, special price, tenders
  • Review of special price requests for tender business and track win/lost sales
  • Work with and support sales on discounts and/or net selling price for sales campaigns and promotions.
  • Monthly maintenance of MRA Tool,  SAP/PARTS CMC Tool via results of market research.

Your Profile

  • Successfully completed academic degree or education with a technical or economic-scientific focus.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in product management and/or pricing management
  • Possess detailed knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Fluency in business English (written and spoken)
  • Communication skills and ability to work in team
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Time management, prioritization skills
  • Co-ordination of quality topics within the group
  • Annual budget planning for NPIs and project wise budget planning + request
  • Experience in coordination of project management activities with Capex requirement
