ROLE SUMMARY
This is an Onsite role which can be based at any of the following MANN+HUMMEL locations: Hanover Park, IL, Washington, NC, Wilson, NC, Wichita Falls, TX, Greensboro, NC, Raleigh, NC, or Louisa, VA.

The Indirect Category Manager - Procurement is responsible for commercial activities over indirect categories: IT, Professional Services, Supply Chain, Marketing & CapEx.
Regional Focus: MANN+HUMMEL locations throughout the U.S. and Canada.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute category strategies: analyze spend, market and demand; define sourcing strategies, and build multi-year plans to optimize cost, quality, service, and risk
- Run sourcing events: lead RFIs/RFPs, e auctions, and competitive bids; evaluate proposals based on total cost of ownership; recommend supplier awards
- Negotiate and contract: negotiate commercial terms, SLAs, and contracts (MSAs, SOWs, NDAs) to secure favorable pricing, service levels, and protections
- Supplier relationship management: manage day to day supplier performance, conduct regular business reviews, resolve issues, drive continuous improvement and innovation
- Performance and savings delivery: achieve annual savings and value targets, track and report KPIs, and support budgeting and forecasting for category spend
- Risk and compliance: ensure adherence to procurement policies, contracts, and third-party risk requirements; support audits and implement corrective actions
- Stakeholder engagement: partner with Finance, Legal, IT, Operations and business owners to align strategies with business needs and gain buy-in
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other related field, OR 7- 10 years of relevant work experience with no degree (High School diploma or GED required)
Experience:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement/sourcing, with specific experience in Indirect categories and supplier negotiations
• Previous experience defining sourcing and building multi-year category strategies to optimize cost, quality, service, and risk
• Experience leading RFIs/RFPs
Required Skills:
• Strong contracting and negotiating skills
• Supplier relationship management skills
• Demonstrated ability in improving cost and cash
• Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with MSFT Suite platforms (e.g.: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote, Outlook)
Preferred Experience:
• Experience with Indirect procurement in a manufacturing environment
• Experience leading e-auctions for categories such as freight and MHE (material handling & equipment)
• Experience using SAGE, SAP, or both
