The Sales Manager - Eastern Region, North America provides ongoing support to customers on a daily basis. He/she is the main customer interface for commercial items and aggressively targets expansion opportunities within the waster and wastewater markets, while identifying and developing key distributors/OEMs/integrators/End Users. The position requires focus on prospecting and developing the Industrial Markets, as well as identifying new applications. He/she will support the implementation of business strategies and maintain profitable relationships focused on accelerating opportunities and driving funnel growth within the industrial water market.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Territory responsibility – Eastern US and Canada
- Key markets – Chemical, Oil & Gas, Mining, Data Centers, Micro-Electronics, Municipal, etc.
- Applications - Water and Wastewater
- Key technology offering – Reverse Osmosis (RO), Ultra-Filtration (UF), Nano-Filtration (NF), Micro-Filtration (MF), and Membrane Flat Sheet and Contract Manufacturing
- Supports the business in strategy execution and implementation of the regional growth plan (prepare a strategic sales plan focused on target accounts and markets, supports order analysis, reviews contracts, prepares and maintains relevant documentation)
- Provide ongoing technical support and ensure high-quality customer service (follow-up of orders, customer visits, prepare and conduct customer presentations)
- Serve as a liaison between the customer and MANN+HUMMEL internal departments, understand customer needs and initiate
- Prepare the price analysis, as well as the operational sales planning
- Prepare and conduct price negotiations for new projects and customers
- Support the business with market research and industry intelligence
- Identify and develop new customers for driving growth
- Accelerate new channel partner (Distributors, OEMs, Integrators) relationships
- Maintain and update Salesforce customer files, records, opportunities and call reports
- Provide monthly forecasting
- Responsible for achieving annual booking and revenue targets
- Provide urgent response time in delivering customer & channel partner satisfaction
REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a similar field of study
Experience:
- 3 years’ minimum relevant sales and/or business development experience in membrane filtration, and/or general filtration
Required Skills:
- Customer driven, organization and coordination skills, self-motivated and ability to work under pressure
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to travel approximately 40% (Primarily domestic U.S./ Canada)
- Conflict management skills
- Strong English communication skills
- Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- CRM experience

- Membrane Filtration experience in the Industrial applications arena
