Role Summary

The Sales Engineer supports Mann + Hummel America’s strategy by developing and leading customer accounts in a consultative selling approach for driving sales growth and maximize customer satisfaction. The position focuses on identifying and developing new prospects, as well as maximizing the growth potential of underdeveloped partners. The Sales Engineer combines commercial and technical skills for delivering superior customer value at new and underdeveloped customers.

Main Tasks

  • Grow sales volume for Mann + Hummel membrane portfolio by managing new and existing customers:
  • Establishing strong relationships
  • Responding promptly to requests
  • Having regular phone and/or Webex meetings
  • Uncovering and recognizing high growth customers and sales opportunities
  • Presenting membrane portfolio and clearly detailing the value proposition
  • Answering questions
  • Cold calling
  • Closing sales
  • Respond to technical questions from customers
  • Able to answer customer questions quickly and effectively
  • Troubleshoot customer issues
  • Gather market information and gain expertise for specific applications
  • Support field testing of new or developmental products
  • Write case studies and presentations
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Profile

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4-year college degree (engineering discipline preferred)
  • 0-2 years technical sales experience , recent grads are encouraged
  • Position involves 100% onsite attendance at our facility in Goleta, CA

Training and Experience:

  • Experience in sales roles is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Willing to travel periodically (approximately 20% of the time). Must have valid driver’s license.
