Role Summary

The Application Engineer partners closely with customers and sales teams, providing support throughout every project phase, from initial design to after-sales service, while ensuring customer needs are met and aligned with MANN+HUMMEL’s goals.
Main Tasks

Manage customer projects, including design, construction, installation, commissioning, and operation.

Provide technical support to sales during acquisitions and customer appointments.

Deliver customer training on product design, operation, and maintenance.

Track and document projects throughout the warranty period.

Review and prepare contract documents, including warranty and service agreements.

Plan resources for field assignments.

Coordinate, support, and train external service providers.

Train internal teams, including service technicians, engineers, and technical sales staff.

Design, create, and optimize cross-departmental processes.

Develop and review technical documents for customers, sales teams, and distributors.

Create product-specific materials such as case studies, competitive analyses, and presentations.

Propose product and process improvements to R&D based on customer feedback.
Your Profile
Education:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
-
Experience in plant operation, construction, engineering services, and/or membrane technology.

Technical field experience required.
Skills:
-
Knowledge of membrane technology and water/wastewater systems (preferred).

Strong project management capabilities.

Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.

Proficiency in MS Office; AUTOCAD or similar software a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to work under pressure with initiative and responsibility.
Travel:

20–30% travel within North and South America, with flexibility for short-notice trips.
