Role Summary
The Apprenticeship 321 program in collaboration with Gaston College provides alternative to traditional higher education for those who enjoy working with their hands, are interested in careers in a STEM-related field, or want to continue working full-time while learning.
Main Tasks
Practical Part | MANN+HUMMEL Allen Plant | ~80%
- Directly affect quality of product thru die repairs/management
- Partner with maintenance for producing innovative solutions/parts
- Evaluating new machining concepts for production support
- Developing new tactics to manage/produce/support tool and die production at facility
Theoretical Part | Gaston College |~20%
- Blueprint Reading
- Production Tooling / Die Making
- CNC Turning / Milling
- CAD

Your Profile
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma
- Good knowledge of scientific subjects as well as interest in technical contexts
- Hands on mentality, mechanical aptitude
- Team spirit, commitment, motivation, and flexibility
- Must be willing to work all three shifts
