Role Summary
Marketing and Product Innovation - spearhead the development and implementation of innovative products and services in the aftermarket filtration sector. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and a collaborative approach to work closely with brand managers, project management, engineers/R&D, product management, and market/customer insights teams.
Regulatory compliance - engage with our internal stakeholders, global regulatory team, and external partners to develop and implement government & corporate compliance strategies and plans for our North American Business Units. The ideal candidate will have experience in Trade Compliance, Product Compliance, Packaging Compliance and Corporate Compliance along with strong project management skills and experience managing regulatory initiatives governed by EPA, EPR, EHC, FIFRA, RPRA, TSCA, CUSTOMS, USMCA & TARIFFS.
Main Tasks
Marketing and Product Innovation:
− Innovation Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive innovation strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives and brand vision.
− Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with brand managers, engineers/R&D, product management, purchasing, finance, operations, and market/customer insights to identify opportunities for innovation and drive projects from concept to launch.
− Product Development: Lead the ideation, development, and commercialization of new products and services, ensuring they meet market demands and exceed customer expectations.
− Brand Equity: Enhance brand equity by working with brand managers to develop marketing concepts and brand stories that highlight the innovative aspects of our products and services.
− Project Management: Work with project mgmt. to ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
− Commercialization and Handover: Work with project mgmt. to successfully commercialize innovations and seamlessly transition responsibility to the core business (sales & marketing) to ensure sustained growth and market penetration.
Regulatory Compliance:
− Responsible for EPA & FIFRA regulatory compliance throughout the product life cycle from early assessment through post launch activities.
− Responsible for aligning within global regulatory and regulatory partners on FIFRA regulated products.
− Develop and implement strategies to ensure company compliance in all areas of Trade Compliance, Product Compliance, Packaging Compliance and Corporate Compliance.
− Responsible for the regulatory submission to regulatory agencies and ensuring timely approval.
− Responsible for following, understanding, interpreting and communicating current and potential changes in regulatory compliance standards and/or requirements in the country(ies) of responsibility to relevant internal colleagues and key stakeholders.
− Serve as a subject matter expert on local, state, federal and provincial government compliance regulations in North America
− Monitor compliance with regulations through audits and reviews
− Coordinate compliance issue resolution through the use of internal resources, regulatory agencies, and outside consultants as needed.
− Organize and conduct training sessions to enhance the organizations knowledge of working in a regulated environment.
− Develop and implement regulatory strategies for new products or services, ensuring that they comply with relevant laws and regulations
Educational Requirements
− Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
Experience Requirements
− Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management with a focus on innovation, regulatory compliance, and marketing preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
− Experience in Corporate Compliance and working with Government Regulatory Authorities such as the US EPA, FIFRA, PMRA and others.
