Role Summary

As the Manager, Trade Marketing you will  lead the M+H team responsible for our efforts across all Trade Marketing, having daily responsibility for Traditional and Direct Channels and strategic oversight across Retail and eComm Channel marketing. This role requires a deep understanding of Trade Marketing, Retail Marketing, CRM, and Co-op Marketing. You will collaborate closely with brand management, the channel sales directors and their teams, and product marketing to develop strategies, analyze data, and implement tactics to enhance our performance in these key channels.

This role requires a blend of analytical skills and strategic-thinking to drive data-informed decisions across digital, traditional, promotional, and experiential marketing playbook. Your primary goal is to drive sales, increase brand visibility, and strengthen relationships with our channel partners.

This role manages two people – the Trade Marketing Mgr., Retail and eComm and the Trade Mktg Coordinator, Traditional.

Job Responsibilities

− Traditional/Direct Channel Marketing: Coordinate efforts in traditional and direct channels, integrating category management and CRM tactics to support warehouse distributors and their networks. Build strong relationships with both traditional and direct trade channel customers, understanding their goals and marketing requirements.
− Retail/E-commerce Marketing Guidance: Supervise and advise the retail and e-commerce marketing manager to develop effective marketing campaigns to support big box retailers, online platforms like Amazon and the Big 4 Automotive Parts stores.
− CRM System Management: Develop and execute CRM derived and oriented marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, retention, and engagement. Our CRM marketing practice is nascent; however, the strategic objective of the organization is to use CRM, both the Sales and Marketing Clouds to move our business forward.
− Co-op Marketing Program: Reshape/reimagine the company’s co-op marketing program to drive brand alignment, motivate partners to market M+H brands, and synchronize local marketing with overall brand strategy. Through the co-op program, work with channel partners to ensure brand marketing and guideline compliance; taking corrective actions as needed.
− Marketing Materials Creation: Collaborate with brand management to develop impactful marketing materials that align with brand guidelines for the trade channel.
− Promotional Campaigns: Provide marketing support to drive the success of promotional campaigns, driving sales and increasing brand awareness in traditional and direct channels.
− Recognition and Training Programs: Implement incentive and recognition programs as support the development of training programs for our customers (regional salespersons, parts counterpersons, installers, etc…) to ensure staff understand M+H products and are highly motivated to promote and sell them.
− Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, using data to optimize strategies. Regularly evaluate marketing initiatives and prepare reports with key insights and recommendations for improvement.
− Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to ensure alignment of channel marketing efforts with business objectives.
− Budget Management: Manage marketing budgets effectively to maximize return on investment.

Educational Requirements

− Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field. MBA preferred.

Experience Requirements

− At least 7+ years of experience in traditional channel marketing as well as B2B marketing experience.
− Experience with co-op marketing programs in the traditional channel
− Experience and expertise with grass-roots and experiential marketing that can be successfully deployed with traditional channel customers.
− Experience with CRM tactics and programs.

− Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
− Ability to understand business objectives and link key digital marketing data and performance metrics with key business outcomes.
− Experience developing and tracking KPIs 
− Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities.
− Demonstrated commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing
− Ability to travel up to 10% to 15% domestically.
