Role Summary
Responsible for the Quality activities in the region/cluster with the target to continuously improve performance. Represents the customer voice and ensures the respect of the MANN+HUMMEL standards and procedures within the regional organization.
Main Tasks
Responsibility
- Establish, manage and monitor metrics which effectively measure the performance of the US Distribution QMS and ensure appropriate actions are taken and assessed on a regional basis to maintain established targets
- Defines the Quality strategy for the region/cluster and ensures alignment to the Corporate Quality and Regional strategy.
- Responsible to ensure the establishment, implementation and maintenance of a Quality Management System at the regions’ locations according to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, Customer and MANN+HUMMEL Management System (MMS) standards.
- Responsible for customer scorecard review of the regions’/cluster locations and response coordination if the results are not meeting expected requirements.
- Responsible for Customer Relationship – ensuring that the customer is satisfied with the performance of the applicable location(s)
- Responsible for complaint management for both customers and suppliers ensuring that complaints are managed in due time and utilize robust RPS/8D reports.
- Ensures the capitalization of Lessons Learned in order to transfer and share knowledge as well as Best Practices.
- Manages the internal audit system in accordance with required standards, incl. maintenance of audit plans, records, actions and the internal auditor pool.
- Drives performance improvement in the regions’ locations for all Quality KPIs and actively participates in corrective action activities.
- Responsible to define the regions’ Quality objectives, monitor internal quality performance: internal defects, scrap, sorting activities, floor audits, etc. and initiate corrective action in case of deviation.
- Manages regional Quality initiatives’ activities.
- Contributes to and rolls out the group wide Quality initiatives and projects including qualification and personnel development.
Leadership
- Functional Leadership of all Quality Managers in the Region/Cluster
Your Profile
Required:
- University degree in (Bachelor or Master) in Engineering or in a similar field
- At least 5 years of experience managing quality in 3PL companies
- At least 5 years of quality department supervision and management
- Ability to travel up to 50% (domestic mostly, some overnight)
- Analytical thinking & problem solving skills are a MUST.
- Knowledge and understanding application of IATF 16949.
- Familiar with quality tools: Problem Solving/8D Method, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA
Preferred:
- Skilled in business management
- M+H product and manufacturing process knowledge
- Experience in automotive manufacturing
Language and Computer Abilities:
- Fluent in written and oral English communication
- Able to use Microsoft Office tools; SAP knowledge preferred
