Role Summary
Leads the planning team in the Filter Elements cluster in North America. Functional responsibility for all aspects of planning (supply, demand, S&OP) for the North America region. Responsible for implementing and controlling planning processes to achieve company goals on inventory and service level. Drives continuous improvement throughout the planning team by creating new tools and processes to improve planning efficiency.
Main Tasks

- Key areas of focus
- Material flows (reception of material, production supply and delivery to customers)
- Information flows (S&OP, MPS, MRP, ordering process, order fulfilment)
- Delivery service
- Inventory management
- Logistics costs (freight, warehousing, staffing, equipment)
- Sales and Operations Planning
- Establish monthly cadence of demand and supply planning to proactively anticipate business needs over a 12-18 month time horizon
- Integrate service and inventory strategy into the S&OP process
- Execute scenario planning ad hoc to simulate business impact and to communicate alternatives
- Integrate SAP IBP to further refine and mature S&OP reporting and decision making
- Demand Planning
- Lead the demand planning team through a structured approach to SKU rationalization and portfolio optimization, working closely with the sales team to build a demand planning process focused on sustainable inventory management and sales growth
- Influence forecasting decisions through selecting statistical models that place different weights on seasonality and recency to be applied based on business needs
- Supply Planning
- Lead a team of supply planners to ensure inventory levels are maintained, plant back logs are addressed in a timely manner, and customer backorders at the distribution centers are minimized through strong planning processes and internal communication
- Drive continuous improvement efforts with suppliers and manufacturing sites to continue to reduce lead time and improve service level
Your Profile
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
Experience:
- 4+ years leading, managing and developing teams in a multinational production environment
- Knowledge of and experience with relevant IT tools and ERP processes (SAP strongly preferred)
