Material Handler

Role Summary

Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.

Main Tasks

• Uses a forklift and other powered or non-powered equipment to pull and ready product for shipment to customers or other company locations.
• Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.
• Maintains daily Pallet Yard standardization to include 5s of the pallet yard building.
• Assists with scrap from production lines.
• Fill propane, bale cardboard, and stack scrap pallets.
• Stage oil drums.
• Assists with Chemical Room standardization and 5s.
• Reports outside hazards to lifts or personnel.
• Maintains pallet staging zones.
• Receive and unload incoming pallets. Verify paperwork and materials.
• Pull, stage, and load pallets and cardboard.
• Keeps inventory, warehouse/working areas, and machinery clean.
• Communicates product shortages and product damages to the Supervisor or Assistant.
• Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
• Performs Baler maintenance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Your Profile

• Have an understanding of warehouse management systems. Proven ability to work independently, and accurately.
• Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read and analyze Information
• Knowledge of inventory control
• Mathematical skills to calculate material needs
• Must speak, read, and write English to satisfy job requirements.
• Forklift certification required
• Education:  High School Diploma
