Internship Expectations

  • Start: End of May or Beginning of June
  • Duration: 6 - 12 months
  • Hours per week: 15-25
  • Visa sponsorship is not available for internship positions

Your Responsibilities

  • As an intern, you will be assigned to one key project that you will manage during the internship. Results will be presented to the leadership team at the end of the internship program
  • Providing support to the assigned department (e.g. Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Operations, Material Planning & Logistics, Finance, IT, HR, …)
  • Develop improvement concepts and present them to the leadership team
  • Work “hands-on” and spend time with co-workers to understand business processes and challenges. Times is estimated at 50% on production floor and 50% in Office/PC.

Educational Requirements

  • Actively pursuing an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Reliability or Electrical Engineering or Facilities/Operations Management, or related sector in an accredited program
  • Current GPA 3.0 or better

Experience

  • Prior work experience in a manufacturing company is preferred, but not a must

Skills Requirements

  • Project management as well as strong organization and communication skills
  • Willingness to take responsibility for projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel. Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc.)
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD, SolidWorks & AutoCAD with an emphasis on 2D: Equipment layout, building structures, aisle ways (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
  • Ability to multitask in a collaborative team and office setting
