Main Tasks
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated intern to support the development of a global repository of customer references, applications, and product use cases across the MANN+HUMMEL Water & Membrane Solutions (WMS) business. The purpose of this role is to identify, collect, structure, and document information on where and how WMS products are used globally, including industry applications, customer references, EPCs/OEMs, and geographic deployment. The intern will work closely with commercial and technical teams across regions, conducting structured interviews and collecting application intelligence directly from stakeholders. The role requires a high level of organization, communication, and curiosity, as well as willingness to travel internationally to engage teams in person. This is a highly cross-functional and international role offering exposure to commercial operations, application engineering, market intelligence, and digital transformation initiatives.
Your Challenges
Global Reference & Application Mapping
- Build and maintain a centralized overview of global customer references, applications, and installed product use cases
- Identify where WMS products are used globally by application, industry, customer type, OEM/EPC involvement, and geography
- Gather and organize information by identifying the relevant industry or application segment, geographic region, customer type, product family and technology used, as well as the specific end-use and project context.
Stakeholder Interviews & Knowledge Capture
- Conduct regular interviews and workshops with Sales, Technical Sales, and Application Engineering teams globally
- Travel internationally to regional offices and key sites to gather knowledge directly from stakeholders
- Translate informal and decentralized knowledge into structured and searchable data
- Support alignment on standardized terminology and application categorization
Data Structuring & Process Development
- Organize collected information into structured databases, trackers, and reference repositories
- Support development of standardized templates and data collection methodologies
- Collaborate with Product Management, Marketing, R&D and CRM teams to define future Salesforce fields and processes
- Help establish best practices for long-term institutional knowledge management
Sales Enablement & Marketing Support
- Support preparation of tailored reference lists for tenders and customer requests
- Identify high-value projects and applications suitable for future case studies and marketing content
- Contribute to internal presentations and reporting related to application intelligence and installed base visibility
Your Profile
The role is open to Bachelor’s or Master’s students in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Industrial Management, Data Management, or related fields.
The ideal candidate has strong communication and interpersonal skills, is comfortable working in international and cross-functional teams, and is willing to travel. Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with and synthesize both structured and unstructured data are required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) is essential, while experience with CRM systems or Salesforce is a plus. Fluency in English is mandatory, with additional languages considered an advantage.
