Role Summary
Production Scheduler
1st Shift: 7am-4pm

Onsite - Dunlap, TN
The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning, optimizing, and controlling production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements while maintaining cost, quality and compliance standards. This role coordinates material availability and production capacity to ensure controlled flow of approved materials and efficient execution across the value steam.
Main Tasks
- Plan, publish, and control production scheduled to meet required delivery dates, service levels, and internal performance targets
- Optimize production plans to ensure adherence to established production processes, systems, technology, and equipment contraints
- Coordinate material requirements by executing scheduling decisions that ensure a controlled flow of approved materials to production
- Balance capacity and demand through capacity planning, contraisnt amangement, and schedule adjustments to minimize downtime and expedite needs
- Drive delivery reliability strategies while evaluating trade-offs and impacts on the production cost structure
- Analyze lead times and value stream performance to reduce total time from procurement of parts through finished goods shipment
- Develop insights into manufacturing cost drivers and support initiatives that improve overall manufacturing efficiency
- Monitor schedule adherence and performance metrics, identify root causes of misses, and implement corrective actions with cross-functional partners
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and applicable internal/external standards while executing scheduling and material flow activities
- Collaborate cross-fucntionally with production, logistics, purchasing, quality, and other stakeholders to resolve constraints and maintain stable execution
Profile
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field
- Equivalent combinations of education and/or experience will be considered
Experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in scheduling, production planning, logistics, or related manufacturing/supply chain management
- Demonstrated experience working with production scheduled, material flow, and cross-functional coordination
Skills & Competencies
- Production scheduling and schedule control
- Capacity planning and constraint-based thinking
- Material requirements planning conceps and execution
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g, pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, data validation; ability to build/maintain scheduling and performance trackers)
- Data analysis and ability to translate data into actionable scheduling decisions
- Process optimization/continuous imrpovement mindset
- Cost awareness (understanding impact cost and efficiency due to scheduling)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Clear communicaiton and collaboration across functions
- Commitment to compliance standards and HSE expectations
Preferred Experience
- Experience in logistics or manufacturing logistics coordination
- Experience with relevant systems: SAP and other scheduling/logistics software
- Experience improving delivery reliability, lead time reduction, and value stream efficiency
