Role Summary
The Assembly Production Lead/Backup Supervisor is responsible for managing daily production activities within a designated shift, ensuring adherence to quality standards, optimizing operational efficiency, and supporting team performance in alignment with M+H production goals.

Location: Dunlap, Tennessee
1st Shift
Main Tasks
- Oversee and manage daily operations for an assigned shift within a M+H production zone.
- Plan and review daily attendance records while assigning and directing work to team members.
- Ensure production activities align with the established production plan and meet deadlines.
- Develop and implement plans to produce parts in accordance with customer schedules and shipment requirements.
- Enforce strict adherence to M+H quality procedures, ensuring compliance with all customer specifications throughout the production process.
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to support the RPS/8D process, ensuring quality standards are met. Actively participate in RPS discussions and meetings.
- Facilitate quality approval of products with Quality Inspectors, and implement corrective actions for any deviations, ensuring effectiveness of these measures.
- Coordinate and maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area, ensuring compliance with the 5S process and production basics.
- Ensure proper usage and maintenance of machines and equipment.
- Manage and execute the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) process, monitoring for losses or damages to machines and equipment.
- Ensure timely and efficient changeovers and machine setups.
- Coordinate and control setup processes according to predefined schedules.
- Maintain and update all documentation related to production activities.
- Uphold safety standards within the zone and machine operations, ensuring compliance with all safety requirements, sustainability issues, and legal regulations.
- Maintain records in accordance with ISO, TS, and EMS standards.
Your Profile
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with visual manufacturing concepts, including Kanban, Takt Time, and Visual Work Instructions.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (Takt Time, One Piece Flow, Pull Systems, 5S).
- Experience in the automotive industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and planning abilities.
- Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
