The Exports Analyst at the Cowpens, SC location is responsible for coodinating and processing all export shipments, ensuring required international shipping documentation is accurately prepared and submitted on time. This role maintains close day-to-day commmunicaotion with 3PL outbound supervisors, keeps the shipping schedule current, and serves as the primary point of contact for Customer Service regarding export shipment status and needs. The position requires strong organization, the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced warehouse/distribution environment, and flexibility to adapt to changing processes, while also cross-training to support and back up team members as needed.
Main Tasks
- Process all export shipments, including preparation and submission of all required documentation
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely, accurate export order execution
- Maintain close communication with 3PL outbound supervisors to coordinate outbound actvitivy
- Keep the shipping schedule up to date and aligned to operational priorities
- Cross-train to assist/back up other coordinators to ensure coverage and continuity
- Serve as the main point of contact for Customer Service regarding export shipments
- Perform other duties as requested as assigned by the manager
Profile
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field
- Equivalent combinations of education and/or work experience will be considered
Experience
- A minimum of 1 year of international exports experience, including documentation, within a manufacturing or distribution/warehouse environment
Skills & Competencies
- International trade and export operations: international trade funamentals, export shipment coordination, freight forwarding, and end-to-end export execution
- Trade compliance, customs regulations, customs broking coordination, and harmonized tariff schedule (HTS) awareness/classification support
- Provactive risk management to prevent delays, non-compliance, documentation errors, and shipment disruptors
- Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) and Word; ability to work within ERP processes (SAP preferred)
- Strong organizaton skills, logical problem-solving, adaptability, and cross-functional communication
Preferred Experience
- Strong familiarity with SAP (or other ERP systems)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- 3-5 years of expereince in a distirbution/warehouse setting
- Creative thinker/problem-solver
