In this role you will be given an opportunity to shape the existing Learning and Development function to meet the objectives of our business and the expectations of our colleagues. By leading 1 colleague in Czech Republic and cooperating with 1 in India Center, you will have a chance to positively impact 1000 members of GBTS by creating an environment for them where Learning should be considered as a necessity of our day to day work while providing colleagues with the right tools and access to learning opportunities.

The purpose of the role is not to create a training portfolio, calendar and track attendance (although that might be a small part) but to create environment in which colleagues can identify the learning needs by themselves, have access to development opportunity when and as needed (on demand) and linking it to their career aspirations and development plans. In collaboration with other HR function we intend to coordinate the effort of continuous learning in changing environment to provide our employees with solid career opportunities but ones which are also are in line with our business objectives. Therefore Talent Development should not be a standalone function but a strategic enabler on our journey to Center of Excellence.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Establish strong partnerships with the Service Delivery Managers to gain a proper understanding of current business issues and opportunities, as related to learning and development
  • Provide subject matter expertise to the design, development and implementation of learning & development strategies and programs that meet the needs of individual departments
  • Provide ongoing guidance to managers and leadership teams about the need to adopt a holistic view of Talent Management requirements incorporating Learning, Career Development and Succession Planning, and how inputs from various sources like Performance Management, business strategies & organizational goals, personal aspirations and market imperatives drive these
  • Provide appropriate analysis of learning needs to support the budgeting process for learning and career development activities
  • Generate appropriate reports that measure the impact of training received by employees
  • Designing and visualizing L&D framework and promoting it within the organization to drive common understanding of the opportunities for colleagues
  • Responsibility for effective onboarding programs which should be the source of initial learning opportunities identification

YOUR PROFILE:

 

  • Education: University degree or relevant education in area of responsibility
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in L&D function in SSC/GBS/outsourcing environment, exposure to finance, HR, IT, R&D, or any back office function in SSC environment is an advantage, experience in coaching or mentoring is an advantage
  • Required Skills: Good knowledge of Training & Development, Talent Management, Employee Engagement and Performance Management
  • Languages: Fluent English is essential + fluent Czech 
  • Competencies: Ability to communicate across different levels in the organization and adjust communication style accordingly, forward thinking and understanding the market trends in area of Talent Development (acting as a sparing partner to HRBP, senior leadership team)
