Role Summary:

We're looking for an SAP Manufacturing Consultant to join our global SAP team and take a hands-on role in our transition from SAP ME/MII to SAP Digital Manufacturing (DM) on BTP. You'll be the go-to person bridging shop floor operations, IT, and development — keeping existing systems running smoothly while actively shaping what comes next. This is a role for someone who's equally comfortable troubleshooting a production incident and contributing to a migration concept.

Main Tasks:

  • Developing the identification and analysis of business needs, conducting requirements gathering and controlling scope and objectives
  • Analysing and developing solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology modules or alternative uses of existing technology
  • Developing SAP related projects and activities
  • Analysing possibilities and recommendations for improvements concerning all SAP-supported processes
  • Translating business requirements into application and module requirements

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for manufacturing execution processes in SAP ME and MII, including incident analysis, root cause investigation, and working with local key users and site coordinators on day-to-day issues.
  • Contribute to the migration from SAP ME/MII to SAP Digital Manufacturing on BTP — from analysing change requests and developing solution concepts through to supporting implementation and go-live.
  • Evaluate Node.js-based extensions and integration scenarios within the SAP DM context, and participate in global SAP manufacturing projects across the full project lifecycle.
  • Act as the interface between business stakeholders (production, quality) and the development team, ensuring requirements are clearly translated into technical solutions.
  • Coordinate with adjacent SAP modules — particularly PP, QM, and PM — to ensure end-to-end process consistency.
  • Develop and maintain standards, best practices, and documentation for the manufacturing landscape, including test management and quality assurance.

What we expect:

  • 3+ years as an SAP consultant in a manufacturing environment (ME, MII, or Digital Manufacturing).
  • Hands-on experience with customising and technically configuring SAP ME or MII.
  • Background in project work, both agile and traditional delivery approaches.
  • Experience in automotive or discrete manufacturing is a plus.
  • Initial exposure to SAP Digital Manufacturing or SAP BTP is a plus.

Required Skills - Solid understanding of shop floor processes and how they map to SAP.

                           - Knowledge of Node.js or comparable integration technologies is an advantage.

                           - Familiarity with manufacturing integration topics (OPC UA, Plant Connectivity, Edge Services) is a plus.

Languages - Fluent English, written and spoken (required).

                    - German is a plus.

Competencies - Willingness to travel occasionally to our worldwide locations.
