Role Summary:

Join MANN+HUMMEL as a Product Development Digitalization Specialist and drive digitalization initiatives within the Transportation Project Management Office. In this role, you will support and further develop the digital tool landscape used across the entire project lifecycle—from RFQ to prototype to serial production—and act as a key connector between data, tools, and global stakeholders. You will combine data analytics, process understanding, and digital product ownership in a dynamic, international automotive environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Transportation Project Management Office (PMO) (OE business) across the full project lifecycle.
  • Lead selected digitalization initiatives: manage backlog and priorities, coordinate external developers/consultants, and lead solution testing and rollout.
  • Evolve PLM (CIM database) tool usage for PM handling: analyze change requests, propose process/tool changes, align with IT, and plan/execute testing in an agile way.
  • Maintain and analyze current reliable analytics foundations in Power BI/Microsoft Fabric in order to redesign and improve KPI dashboards.
  • Design and maintain automated workflows with Power Automate, supporting operational processes and identifying opportunities for further automations.
  • Collaborate closely with PM Office in Germany and product development stakeholders across MANN+HUMMEL locations worldwide, participate in working meetings, and drive adherence to project management principles and data governance across Jira/PLM/CIM.
  • Travel to Ludwigsburg, Germany for onboarding (4–6 weeks initially) and later for regular visits (typically quarterly), with occasional additional trips depending on project needs.

Your profile:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent technical/vocational background).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in digitalization projects ideally as a project manager; strong experience in data/business analytics (Power BI and DAX is a must, Microsoft Fabric is nice to have); experience in automotive industry processes is a strong plus, hands-on experience with various AI language models is a major advantage
  • Required Skills: Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Power BI, DAX Language, Power Automate, Jira, and Project Management Principles; knowledge of CIM database or another Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tool. Ability to understand data structures, knowledge of MS Fabric is an advantage
  • Languages: Fluent English (spoken and written); German is an advantage.
  • Competencies: Highly proactive, structured, analytical, and communicative; able to challenge the status quo, manage multiple topics independently, understand automotive workflows, and translate complex technical topics into clear outputs.
