Commerce Tech Lead

The Customer Experience initiative at MANN+HUMMEL drives the transformation of our customer interactions and empowers our business units. You will join a newly formed team within GBTS in Brno, where your contributions will have a significant impact as we work to build a next-generation, top-tier e-commerce platform. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, leveraging agile methodologies to tackle the unique challenges that come with the complexity of modern e-commerce. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Guide and mentor the development team (up to 3 members), providing technical direction and support to ensure the team’s growth and success, leading to higher productivity and quality outcomes. 
• Lead the development and customization of Magento modules, ensuring they meet business requirements and are optimized for performance, driving operational efficiency and enhancing customer satisfaction. 
• Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and processes to ensure high-quality code and effective solutions. 
• Evaluate, implement, and customize third-party extensions to enhance the Magento platform's capabilities, driving increased functionality and providing a competitive edge in the market. 
• Ensure that the Magento implementation adheres to security best practices and complies with industry standards, safeguarding customer data and maintaining regulatory compliance. 
• Work closely with project managers, product owners, and other stakeholders to align on project goals, timelines, and deliverables. 
   

YOUR PROFILE: 

• Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Magento certifications (e.g., Magento Certified Professional Architect) are highly desirable 
• Experience: At least 6 years in web development, with a minimum of 5 years specializing in Magento development and architecture 
• Required Skills: Expertise in Magento platform, in both B2B and B2C setups. Proficiency with GraphQL as it relates to Magento for building efficient and scalable data querying capabilities. Familiarity with Magento 2 architecture and its ecosystem and build-in processes. Strong understanding of Elastic Search/Open Search. PHP Hands-on Experience. 
• Languages: Fluent English language  
• Competencies: Ability to lead technical discussions, design sessions, and problem-solving initiatives, great communication, team leadership with can-do approach, continuous learning
