Role Summary:
As an ABAP Developer at MANN+HUMMEL, you will support and further develop SAP HCM used across the company’s international locations. You will work in close cooperation with HR key users, HR‑IT colleagues, and external partners to ensure stable SAP HCM solutions and to drive HR digitalization initiatives. The role offers an international working environment within a technology-driven, globally operating organization.
Your Responsibilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP HCM applications using ABAP, following MANN+HUMMEL development standards and global HR‑IT guidelines.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level technical support for SAP HCM, closely collaborating with HR key users to analyze and resolve complex issues.
- Perform technical analysis of change requests and translate HR business requirements into robust SAP HCM solutions.
- Maintain and optimize existing SAP applications, ensuring system stability, performance, and compliance with internal standards.
- Design and implement new functionality in the SAP environment, including web-based applications where applicable.
- Actively contribute to HR digital transformation initiatives and HR‑IT projects across global HR applications.
- Keep technical documentation up to date and coordinate with external subcontractors and SAP partners when required; occasional business travel to MANN+HUMMEL sites or project workshops may be necessary.
Your Profile:
- Education: High school diploma or university degree, preferably in informatics, business, or a comparable field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of hands-on programming experience in SAP R/3, ideally with exposure to SAP HCM.
- Required Skills: Strong knowledge of object-oriented modeling and programming in SAP ABAP; good user proficiency in MS Office; experience with SAP UI5 and SAP Cloud Integration Platform is an advantage.
- Languages: English at B2 level or higher, suitable for daily communication in an international environment.
- Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities; team-oriented and customer-focused mindset; flexibility and openness to working in cross-functional, global teams.
