Role Summary
The job incumbent is responsible for engineering activities in prototype parts development, ensuring that the products meet M+H standards and customer specifications.
Main Tasks
- Coordinate with program management to select the appropriate prototyping process and define timelines.
- Assist the sales team in preparing quotations for prototype parts.
- Collaborate with the design team to optimize prototype models.
- Support the purchasing team in sourcing prototype suppliers.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure quality standards and timely delivery.
- Supervise the assembly of prototype parts.
- Manage and oversee the delivery of all prototype parts.

Qualification & Experience:
- Educational Qualifications:

- B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with more than 5-6 years of relevant working experience.
- Technical Expertise:
- Knowledge of the Plastic, Rubber & Metal component design is preferred.
- Expertise in Rapid Prototyping Technologies (RPT), including MJF, SLS, SLA, PU & PA Vacuum Casting, FRP, FDM, and Soft Tooling, with the ability to relate to prototype part design improvements.
- In-depth knowledge of injection molding, assembly processes, welding, machining operations, and other manufacturing techniques.
- Prototyping Skills:
- Responsible for maintaining technical know-how in prototype production.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills in the prototyping field.
- Experience in managing prototype production costs and ensuring adherence to budget.
- Proficient in assessing the assembly cost (components, assembly, controls, packaging, etc.) and tooling requirements for manufacture, assembly, and control.
- Technical Documentation & Communication:

- Ensure technical documentation (drawings, bills of materials, etc.) is complete and consistent.
- Evaluate component requirements based on stock availability.
- Review proposals and recommend the best solutions regarding cost, delivery terms, and tooling costs to Program and Account Managers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficient in using IT tools, including MS Office and CIM DATABASE.
- Teamwork:Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
