Senior Engineer - Network & Security

Role Summary

Enterprise Architecture work involves developing high level frameworks that align an organization’s IT infrastructure with business processes/data to improve the efficiency and productivity of business operations.

Main Tasks

  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure solutions across the organization Planning and implementation of patch and release management
  • Manage and optimize Cisco wireless networks, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and business requirements.
  • Lifecycle management of network security devices
  • Perform regular network audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests. Best practice commonly used concepts, operations, practices, and procedures within a system administration and policies
  • Lead incident response efforts during network security breaches, including analysis, containment, and remediation
  • Candidate should be willing to work in 24/7 operations
  • Evaluate and recommend hardware and software solutions to meet business needs.
  • Develop and enforce security policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices
  • Maintenance of all network and security devices (Hot Fixes, patches, OS, back-out)
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco wireless technologies

Your Profile

Good to Have/Advantage/Certifications

  • Certification: CCNA [Must be completed and Valid], CCNP [preferred/added advantage]
  • Proven experience in network implementation and incident management.
  • Good understanding of networking hardware; hardware troubleshooting knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in routing, switching, and network protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP etc.).
  • Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools [Catalyst Center; IPAM; ISE]

 

Minimum Educational Requirement

Bachelor Degree in Computer Sciences or Related fields

Experience

Education and/or Work Experience in Years:

  • Diploma / Graduation or B.E from reputed University or Institute
  • 4 to 7 years of progressive experience in networking, enterprise routing, switching and W-LAN [CISCO]
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Taking ownership for Incident tickets and resolve within SLA.
  • Knowledge of ITIL disciplines such as Incident, Problem and Change Management
