Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Engineer – Design and Development to perform engineering activities related to product design and development, ensuring products meet the MH standards, customer specifications, quality requirements and project timelines. The role requires technical expertise, problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration to drive successful product delivery.
Main Tasks
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of product design concepts.
- Create and maintain 3D models, 2D drawings and technical design documentation.
- Participate in functional design reviews and support project maturity confirmations throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Manage product modifications and engineering changes in accordance with technical specifications and established processes.
- Responsible for creating test orders and generating test reports in coordination with the test lab.
- Responsible for preparing, maintaining and updating the technical documentation for workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and product release.
- Support innovation initiatives, including patent applications and protection of intellectual property rights.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of product data and documentation within the CDB & TnT database.
Job Requirements (Qualifications, Skills, Experience, Competencies)
Qualifications & Experience:
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5 - 8 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in (automotive or similar) product Design & development processes.
Competencies:
- Proficiency in CAD tools is mainly in CATIA.
- Understanding of filtration technologies (air, oil, fuel, cabin filters).
- Knowledge of materials science, especially polymers, casting and composites.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
- Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and ISO/TS 16949 standards.
- Experience with injection molding, pleating, ultrasonic welding and assembly
- Exposure to 3D printing/additive manufacturing for prototyping
